Why Fresno?
Definitely the staff and faculty were foremost in my mind. I was also more interested in a community psychiatry focus rather than a research one, so Fresno’s population and breadth of pathology was perfect. Besides that, it’s a great location for myself and my fiance, smack dab in the middle of both of our hometowns: San Diego and San Francisco. I also like big cities that have a small town feel: no traffic, good cost of living, and down to earth people.
