Hobbies and Interests: I love getting exercise, usually in the form of climbing or running. I also love taking trips to the coast to surf. Some of my non-exercise interests include coffee, old alternative music, vintage furniture, NBA basketball, beer, and spending time with friends and family.

Why Fresno: I chose UCSF Fresno because of the diversity of patients and pathology. I have always had an interest in serving underserved medical communities both urban and rural. This interest aligns very closely with the values emphasized by UCSF Fresno and Community Regional Medical Center. I also felt that training in Fresno would provide some continuity with my upbringing in California. The proximity to Yosemite was a strong selling point as well!
