Kenny Banh, MD
Kenny Banh, MD, FACEP is a Professor of Clinical Emergency Medicine and since 2014, the Assistant Dean of Undergraduate Medical Education at UCSF Fresno.
Dr. Banh has started and/or directed multiple educational programs in the region. These include the first Medical Education Fellowship, the first longitudinal integrated clerkship, SJV PRIME and SJV MedBridge as part of California Medicine Scholars Program.
In 2018 Dr. Banh created and directs the UCSF Fresno Mobile Health and Learning (Mobile HeaL) clinic. Mobile HeaL is designed to bring health care services to local communities where it is needed most while providing learning opportunities for future health care providers. It is the largest free health servicer in the region and has health services targeting COVID-19, influenza, diabetes, hypertension, sexually transmitted infections, MPOX, childhood vaccinations, rural farmworkers and the homeless. The clinic was the largest single provider of COVID vaccines in the region and to date has treated almost 200,000 patients and affords clinical opportunities for UCSF learners, premed, nursing and social worker students in underserved valley medicine. Mobile HeaL is the first program in California and the first mobile health program in the country to deliver free contraceptive care services through Health and Human Service Secretary Xavier Becerra Upstream initiative.
Dr. Banh was inducted into the UCSF Fresno Academy of Medical Educators, and serves on the Central Valley Higher Education Coalition, AAMC Group on Regional Medical Campuses Steering Committee and University of California Office of the President - California HIV/AIDS Research Program Advisory Council.
