Hobbies, fun facts and interests
After a long day at work, I love to cool off with a refreshing swim and then cuddle up with my cats Olive and Fig. Some of my hobbies include Dungeons & Dragons, sprinting into any body of water I can find, playing relatively niche board games with friends (e.g. Dune, Wingspan, Calico, Above and Below, Scythe), introducing people to my love of horror and science fiction (especially my partner, who has come to terms with our annual horror movie marathon month in October), playing a wide variety of video games, and adding new recipes to my vegan/vegetarian cookbook.
Why Fresno?
As a California native, I had always hoped I would be able to continue my training in the state I grew up in. I knew that I wanted to train at a program where I could continue caring for diverse and underserved communities.
One of the reasons I chose psychiatry is that I have not yet found anything uninteresting about it. I am not certain where my training at UCSF Fresno will lead me, but I know that I will be supported throughout my journey. My coresidents and I would all emphatically agree that above all else the reason we chose UCSF Fresno is the people.
