Why UCSF Fresno?
I actually did not rotate here during medical school. However, the pre-interview social with the residents and the interview day itself really blew me away. Even over Zoom, all the residents seemed fun and like they meshed really well, which was important for me in choosing a program. The faculty I spoke with seemed very approachable and viewed us as colleagues and not their subordinates. I also knew that I would learn a lot from being able to see and treat patients in the Central Valley, which is known for being an underserved area. To top it all off, it also doesn't hurt that we have a variety of fellowships here at UCSF Fresno, so it keeps that door open for me as well.
