Why OBGYN?
My decision to pursue a career in OBGYN originates from my interest in women’s health and the opportunities to integrate the surgical aspects of medicine with primary care. Furthermore, the opportunity to care for a mother during her pregnancy and childbirth is something I find to be very meaningful and rewarding. One of my personal aspirations in medicine is to improve access to healthcare in underserved communities. I hope to play an active role in empowering women through advancing reproductive health and family planning through advocacy, research, and community outreach.

Why do OBGYN at UCSF Fresno?
UCSF Fresno provides an excellent fast-paced and challenging training environment that prepares residents to become outstanding clinicians for the Valley and beyond. Community Regional Medical Center is an incredibly high volume, high risk hospital that offers many opportunities to provide care for a large and growing population. The Central Valley is an incredibly diverse area comprising of many communities with unique obstetric and gynecologic needs. I am thrilled to be training within a program that offers amazing learning experiences as well as the opportunity to build long lasting relationships with my patients. The camaraderie in our program is also very evident and I am very grateful to be part of such a hard-working and inspiring group of down-to-earth people!

Hobbies/ Facts/ Interest
I grew up in a little town, San Jose, CA, located in the Bay Area. I went to undergrad at UC Berkeley. For medical school, I went to OUWB in Michigan. After four years in the snow, I returned to the promised land in sunny California. During my free time, I my run my own food blog- https://gustatoryheterogeneity.wordpress.com/ Many of the recipes I create have an emphasis on sustainable farm-to-table concept cooking that features local and seasonal produce. I also love playing and watching sports. Having played soccer throughout my life, I try to stay active by playing whenever I get a chance. I also enjoy watching basketball, football, and soccer. I’m an avid Warriors, Niners, Giants, and Cal Bears fan. I also enjoy hiking and appreciating classic/ modern art.
