Why Fresno?
UCSF Fresno offers a training experience of both an academic and community setting. The San Joaquin Valley is a largely underserved area, which offers a great range of pathology in a diverse patient population. As someone who trained at a medical school who’s primary focus was practicing in underserved communities, I knew I wanted to continue training at a program who believes in improving health outcomes in populations with unmet health/healthcare needs.
