Clinical experience during the one-year fellowship provides opportunities to gain Society for Cardiovascular Magnetic Resonance (SCMR) Level III in cardiac MRI, COCATS Level 2 competency in cardiac CT, and COCATS Level 3 competency in nuclear medicine and echocardiography.
The program provides a lecture curriculum that covers basic and clinical science pertaining to cardiac imaging (including SPECT, cardiac MRI and cardiac CT), weekly meetings for review of current cases, and a weekly research meeting, focused on the research projects of the junior faculty member.
As a trainee, the junior faculty member will be part of the general Cardiovascular Disease Fellowship Program, and have opportunity to teach residents and medical students, and participate in clinical rotations with faculty members.
